Understand the process
You know what to expect at every stage.
From your first message to your last check-up, the whole process is planned in six steps. Below you can read what happens at each one and what we arrange for you.
- Stop 01
Your first message
You write to us in your own language. We start by listening to what you need and to what doctors have already told you. Then we explain what the next step involves and which of your medical documents will be useful for it.
- Stop 02
Your file reaches the doctor
You send us the medical reports you already have. We pass them to the relevant specialist at a contracted partner hospital. The medical assessment is made by that doctor, and so is the decision on whether and how to treat. We then relay the doctor's opinion to you in your language.
- Stop 03
Your written plan
Based on the doctor's assessment, you receive a written plan that sets out the scope of your treatment and how each part of it is organised. It names the hospital and covers your accommodation and the other arrangements we make for you. You can read it and ask your questions before you decide.

Travel and arrival
Once you decide to go ahead, your travel, transfers and accommodation are planned together, so that the dates match your hospital appointments. You receive the details before you leave. When you land, we meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation.
- Stop 05
At the hospital
Your treatment takes place at a contracted, accredited partner hospital, and the medical care is provided by the hospital's doctors. During your stay, a coordinator who speaks your language supports you with communication and practical questions. This coordinator remains your contact person for the rest of the process.

After you go home
Follow-up continues once you are back home, at one, three and six months after your treatment. At each point we ask how you are and pass any medical questions on to your treating doctor. You stay in touch with the same coordinator, so you do not have to explain your situation again.
Before you apply
Documents needed to apply
To start, the partner hospital's specialists need to see your current medical situation. This list applies to every specialty and partner hospital: send what you have, and your coordinator will tell you if anything is missing.
- Recent medical reports and hospital discharge summaries
- Imaging reports (MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray) and the images if available
- Recent laboratory results, such as blood and urine tests
- A list of the medicines you take and any known allergies
- Records of previous surgery or treatment, if any
- A copy of your passport, and of your companion's
Living-donor transplantation
For a living-donor transplant, an ethics committee file is also prepared for both the recipient and the donor. It usually includes apostilled passport copies, proof of residence, documents showing the relationship between recipient and donor and, where needed, consent given before a notary. The transplant centre states the exact list.
The treating doctor may ask for further tests or documents after reviewing your file. Documents in another language may need a translation; your coordinator will let you know.
